It looks like Cauze One's flyer for Mixed Up Mondays was not prepared for a 5 Monday month. Thus, I'm not sure who (if anyone) will be sharing the decks with Cauze this evening. No matter what, the free Red Fez dance party is always bangin'. The warehouse district is about to explode in popularity and Red Fez is a dope little spot with hookahs and burr, get to know it!

As always, this Monday Nasty's at 606 Maiden Ln is the best spot in Austin for a hip hop dance party. DJ Mel is back in the swing of things after completely ruling Lollapalooza and you know Prince Klassen has got the hip hop knowledge, so jams will most definitely be dropped left and right. Tonight's Music Monday feature at the Alamo Drafthouse-Ritz is Rock 'N Roll Tokyo, a documentary with a pretty self-explanatory title. The Trailer has got tons of footage of the great Guitar Wolf (RIP Bass Wolf), as well as the Jet Boys, and the 5,6,7,8's. So needless to say, it's sure to make for an interesting watch. Tickets are only $2, showing is at 10:40pm.

Talk about going out in style! Bird Peterson and Go Go Garcia ruled the fucking party all night long, from start to finish! We (personally and "the scene") sure are going to miss those two, but other parts of the country are in need of some Swerve. While Go Go Garcia will still be around, as he's only in Houston, Bird Peterson will be halfway across the country in Seattle. West coast better prepare themselves, because Austin just got a little weaker. Anyway, We love you guys and wish you the best. Now, experience the going away party through our eyes:

I don't know about you, but I don't think there's anywhere else you should be tonight. That's not to say there's not other crunk options for you tonight. However, fuck a moment of silence, let's rage! This right here is not just the final Swerve, but our good friends Go Go Garcia and Bird Peterson are packing up and saying goodbye! So, this is sure to be a bittersweet dance party for all the ages. It goes without saying that Prepmode will be spinning along with Bird and Go Go whiles The Peen Scene will be up in the building snapping photos and drinking/dancing away our sadness. I urge you to come out and give these dudes a proper send off. They have thrown some of the best parties in Austin, been a huge part of the scene. You know all of those free after parties with the likes of Treasure Fingers, Nadastrom, Felix Cartal? Yeah, that was because those Swerve boys were pulling strings and hooking you povo somebodies out. Conclusion: the least you could do is go fucking ape shit down in Barcelona on a Saturday night, one last time. Tonight's festivities are free all you have to bring is a damaged liver and some dancing shoes.

You know that spot where all the gawfs usually chill? Well, tonight the bass is about to ruffle more than a few black panties. I'm just kidding, I love/am often accused of being one of the goths. Anyway, one thing remains true. Otto Von Schirach will be at Elysium tonight! Along with some deep beats from Bangalore and I/O, Elysium is about to get slapped with some drum and bass, tropical, electro to the max. This show is going to be tons o' fun, but it'll cost you $12 at the do'.

I'm kinda pissed that we didn't get to see Neiliyo wreck the stage/rock the party up in Chicago at Lollapalooza when he epically joined Car Stereo (Wars) on stage. Oh well if you're feelin' like I am, you'll be delighted to hear that the future funk mad man himself, Neiliyo, is playing tonight at Beauty Bar! Still, that's only the tip of the party dick! Following a fun filled hour Neiliyo, the master of the Friday night Beauty Bar dance party, Prince Klassen, will take control of your feet, ears, and soul until 2am.

Some of you know what an ambient music fiend I am, thus, I had to stay true. Tycho/ISO50 is gonna bring his mellow spacey amazing style to The Parish this evening. The show is all ages however, the cover for under 21 is $15, but $12 for over. Give it a chance, you might be blown away! p.s. The soundsystem at The Parish = amazing.

If you're looking for a straight forward banger after banger dance party, I have one word/place for you - Barcelona (bitch! <--it doesn't count if its in parenthesis)! Tonight way down in that wonderfully grimey basement club, DJ Crown of the Table Manners Crew and his special guest King Louie are gonna be killin' it. You need to get yer ass down there and do some dancin', its free for fuck sake!

Tonight is also night one of a two night stint at The Mohawk for recent Metallica tourmates, The Sword. Fucking huge. On top of that, Pack of Wolves will be opening/murdering, if you don't know they feature members of old school Peen favorite, At All Cost. Tickets $15 online, maybe a bit more at the door. \m/

Finally, tonight is the long awaited return of Hot Pink Delorean to Austin, TX! You may remember they were forced to cancel a date with King Louie a few months back. This time around the opening duties are being left up to the Sounds Fit! Crew. I'm sure you know, but never the less I'm listing'em: Details, Richard.Gear and A.Ward are going to soften you up so Boston's Hot Pink Delorean can knock your ears the fuck out. This big ass dance party is gonna run you $10 at the door.

Tonight's affair will take place a Emo's and will feature Canada's premiere electro rap duo Thunderheist, the always extremely entertaining/A.C.L. Festival bound L.A.X., as well as the debut of Josh Distance and Ryan Tomorrow electro band Vicious. As if all of that flava wasn't enough, the lovely/wonderful ladies of Sailor Jerry Rum will be passing out free drinks from 9:30 - 10:30pm, so get there early! Lastly, be prepared to have your picture taken because both Annie Ray and The Peen Scene will be up in them guts!

Our friends at Beauty Bar were determined to not be left out on the Thursday night dance party tip. Thus, none other than the fucking Broken Teen DJs will wrecking the decks at the 7th street staple. Yes, that means Pharaoh & Ferola, Prince William, Anna Love and more spinning everything bass - grime, dubstep, drum and bass...errything. Sry, no word on cover price... it won't be much.

Apparently Pangea is no more. In its place, The Phoenix has risen, puuuuuuuuuuun! So, The Phoenix opened last night and tonight they are hosting a big ass LMFAO party! Deezamn, that didn't take long! Tickets are $20.

Yet another big show going on tonight, this one is at Aces Lounge and features the doobie ashtray legend himself, Devin the Dude. The party will also feature acts such as KJ Hines, Kevin Jack, Sore Losers and Table Manners Crew to get you properly pumped for Devin the D! And just like the last party I just mentioned, ticket are $20.

While the first two hours of this Lanai anniversary event (8 - 10pm) are private/invite only, the following 4 hours will be free and open to the public. I've heard rumors of free drinks, but don't quote me, fool. Either way, this party will rage from 10 - 2am with plenty of drinking and dancing to the musical selections of the Learning Secrets DJs on the Lanai rooftop. Fo sho.

Mez One, Matthew Thomas, Benzo, and Kutthroat will be gathering on the corner of Red River and 7th street at Plush for another edition of Say What! Any dance party goer in Austin should know full well how crunk Say What and Plush in general can get. If you don't...then do.

And the ever reliable fidget, dubstep, electro explosion that is Irresponsible Voltron is happening tonight because its Barcelona's bi-weekly Thursday night dance party. I believe all 5 members of the crew will be there, including Exceed and Parson. Oh yeah I almost forgot, free Sailor Jerry Rum from 11:00pm - 12:00am. Total pandemonium ensues.

Anavan is kind of like the 'merican answer to France's Yelle, and there's noway that could be bad! In fact, I highly recommend you hit Beauty Bar tonight and do some moving to tha music. Besides the wonderful electro-pop dance party Anavan is sure to bring, there are four other acts on the bill. The two DJs, Chris Parson and Gomi, you should be fully aware of already (since you're reading this). As for the two other bands performing tonight, Scott Jawson has tapped LA's Dazzler and locals Harlovve to handle the opening duties of tonight's mayhem. Things kick off at 9pm for $5, bring yer own booyah.

On this, the second to last Weight Wednesday(its moving to Fridays), Grommit, Innerlign, I/O, and Sloppy Jackson have brought in the basstastic Benny Page from London to punish your eardrums. The good folks at Plush are giving you a chance to save a couple of spankies if you can make it out before 11pm. What I'm tryin' ta say is $3 before 11pm, $5 after 11pm - you choose, late-ass. Bigtime dubstep for a small price, I like.

Experimental Austin based act, Moth!Fight! have a show tonight along with the 11 piece Noise Revival Orchestra and Follow that Bird! for just $5 at the new(ish) The Independent. That's gonna be a crazy night of even crazier music for sure. If you didn't know, the Independent is located at 5th and Brushy/right next to the Music Gym.

Every Wednesday I preach the praises of Richard.Gear's Safari Club at Lanai, have you checked it yet? I know you've walked by Lanai at 5th and Congress at some point and atleast been extremely intrigued by the their rooftop soundsystem. It's the end of Summber, bitch! There's no better night than tonight to experience the rooftop lounge dance party that is Safari Club.

When the dudes behind HCB Productions aren't throwing huge parties like with the likes of The Glitch Mob or Nosaj Thing, Holla At Cha Boy Productions have a Wednesday weekly at The Parish featuring the dubstep of G.King and Pharo. No cover and drank specialin' ta boot!

Tonight at Elysium, there's no cover all night long and apparently the dance party usually keeps going until 2:30am! Damn, that's a lot of damn fine 80's and 90's synth/goth/industrial/alternative jammy jams. Tell me that shit don't sound fun!

And finally, how does 8 DJs for free sound? Yeah, I thought so. Just hit up Karma Lounge on 7th tonight and that's exactly what you'll get! Join Sam Von Eulogiosen, DJ OE, DJ Cez, and 5 more DJs for a laser dance party rave, maaan!

Oops! How could I have almost left out my favorite dance spot in the entire city!? Dang. Barcelona has got the deep, dark, and dirty techno sounds of FIST. That of course is the title of the dance party weekly hosted by J.A.M.O.N. Word.

Plush is bumpin' drum and bass/jungle all night long('til 2am). That means Loki will probably be in that bitch with somebody like John E. Glock or even maybe some Evo1ve. The antidote to electro-overdose.

Dubbel Dutch be a reliable somebody when it comes to throwing together some of the dopest DJs and visual artists in town for his Tuesday weekly cleverly titled "Purple Planet". Minimal tech house, UK funky, and rare dubstep...if those genres mean anything to you, this party is a must for you! If you just like to get the fuck down on a Tuesday night, this party is also for you.

Karaoke at Shakespeare's this Tuesday and every Tuesday. The $2 long island iced teas will provide all the courage you need to wil' like a dick!<--in the most fun way possible!
