YOUR CITY'S A SUCKER. MY CITY'S A CREEP.
Pachanga Latin Music Fest kicks off today at Noon. Honestly, I'm very unfamiliar with most of the lineup. All I know is if you're going, you better be there for that Cumbia de Colombia by Bomba Estereo. You won't be disappointed. Here is the rest of the Schedule.

From 7pm - 9pm I highly suggest you pre-game at the Birds Barbershop on E. 6th. Just a mixtape on the stereo, free Lonestar Beer in your hand, while you feast your eyes on the amazing photographic work of Alison Narro. After party at Shangri-La.

The Glitch Mob needs no introduction. They're playing at La Zona Rosa tonight with two other hugely talented electronic artists. There will be $18 tickets available at the door for this insane Free The Robots, Deru, and Glitch Mob dance party.

If you weren't at last night's Peligrosa. First of all, you missed out, HARD. Luckily for you, Red Fez is giving you a second chance at some of that latin cumbia flavor. DJ Dus and King Louie are filling in for Orion and Prince Klassen tonight. Its free, and IT.WILL.BE.KILLER.

Eddie Argos, the very distinct vocalist for Art Brut, has a new pop side project with his girlfriend called Everybody Was In The French Resistance...Now. Long fucking name, but good music. However, as you might expect, it kind of just sound like a pussy Art Brut. See for yourself for $12 at Emo's tonight.

The fact that the flyer lists a genre called "screwgaze" makes me so fucking happy. That sounds goddamn wonderful. Everything else sounds right up my alley too. Darkwave, minimal synth, and witchy shit? Cheer Up Charlie's has been on some great music/parties lately.

The name says it all, "Straight Hood Shit". Chamillionaire's DJ, Rapid Ric, versus Table Manners Crew's Kid Slyce in a thuggish ruggish throwdown at Plush.

The mash-up king of Austin is back in town, and he's playing at his home away from home. Car Stereo (Wars) and Beauty Bar are like peanut butter and jelly, Kool Aid and sugar, ham and burger! Its just a perfect-ass match. You know you want a perfect dance party in your life.

Austin's favorite Queen cover band, Magnifico, are back in action tonight at The Mohawk. They've got help from Woodgrain and I've heard there's going to be a Joy Division cover band too. What I haven't heard is how much the show costs...

The Independent is gonna crumble under the massive dubstep beats. The lineup has some Austin bass giants like Parson, Bokator, Larkside, Nick EZ, and more! 18 and up are welcome, though under 21 will be charged $7 and drinkers only pay $5, but everyone's party keeps going until 3am.

The Austin man, myth, legend behind Covert Curiousity has hooked up with Autobus Records for an awesome multi-genre rock show! For $7 you get performances by Brazos, Mark David Ashworth, Weird Weeds, and Sleep Good at Stubb's. Come witness the next big thing to come from Austin.

Other than the fact that people are gonna be dressed up for a "Steam Punk Party", this looks pretty normal for a Saturday at Elysium. I mean, its gonna be goth and industrial music. $3 at the door. Also, wtf is steam punk?

The Ghost Room also has a show which could easily spawn the next big band from Austin. She Sir, Persian Wars and Persian Wars will be helping to send The Sour Notes off on a summer tour. Not sure if there's a cover, I'd guess yes.

We dance to all the wrong songs. We enjoy all the wrong moves. We dance to all the wrong songs. Barbarella's New Noise indie electro dance party is my favorite night of the super hot video club's week! Do it. Its free before 12:30am.

Rayon Beach is celebrating their album release in diy punk fashion. With a house party! Rayon Beach, Cry Blood Apache, Cowabunga Babez, Wild America, DJ Ben Blackout, and a keg, at 1:30am. Huge lineup for a house party! Gonna be so buck! Click the flyer for a map.

All you can drink for $5 after all the other bars close. That's the good ol' End Bar//Biker Gallery for you. Oh yeah, there's DJs and dancing too. Basically straight up heathenry.
Labels: barbarella, Beauty Bar, birds barbershop, cheer up charlies, elysium, Emo's, end bar biker gallery, la zona rosa, plush, red fez, stubbs, the ghost room, the independent, The Mohawk, things to do
