YOUR CITY'S A SUCKER. MY CITY'S A CREEP.
Musical chairs, hopscotch, and spin the bottle...DRUNK. That's how Game Night rolls. Club DeVille was packed for the celebration of Neiliyo's brand new EP "Game Night", out on Artifact Workshop. Party people were in the perfect state of mind to wil' out, nice and sauced after the hour-long free whiskey bender. The lovley Team Fab DJs warmed up the crowd with their expert selections. Then Fizzy Dino Pop's ruckus 8-bit jams amazed us Peens and frightened a bro or two. Finally Neiliyo played each and every track on "Game Night" from start to finish, leading the crowd in a round the associating games. I can't think of a more perfect way to celebrate a Neiliyo release.

It's Game Night! Please tell me you've heard Neiliyo's new single "Hopscotch"! Just as the name would imply, its about the game. However, shit is tricked out with the future funk touch only Neiliyo seems to possess. In fact his whole new EP is based on games, hence the party's and the EP's name. Yes, Game Night is Neiliyo's EP release party, his Artifact Workshop debut. I've seen him at Club DeVille, it can't stop him, it can only hope to contain him. I guess that's any venue that takes on the task of housing a Neiliyo show. With the $8 dollar entry fee you'll get an Erin Hanson designed limited edition slap bracelet (fer real!), a link to download the new EP, and live perfomances by the awesomely 8-bit Crystal Castles-y Fizzy Dino Pop, Team Fabrication DJs, and obviously Neiliyo. There might even be a sweet deal on some whiskey early on. I'm talkin' real sweet, so get there early.

Icelanta's Bjork vs Outkast combo is gonna be hard to fucking beat. Knuckle Rumbler knew they had to bring it with the next round. Thus, I give you "Beautiful Revolver", Madonna vs my favorite band of all time, the only band that matters, that will ever matter (well, besides Radiohead) The Beatles. My ear's nipples are hard as a rock just thinking about the magic Orion and Prince Klassen are gonna work with this prolific combination. Besides the music of the gods, ladies (and several mens) gon' be rockin' cone bras. No, not just for fun, its for free entry to the party! If you don't have the knock knocks to pull off a cone shaped bra, you can still RSVP on Do512 for $2 off the $5 cover. Well, if you hurry, I'm not sure when the cutoff time is. Oh, I guess it would be helpful if I mentioned where the party is at, huh? The Scoot Inn.

The Mohawk has got indie rock giants The Appleseed Cast live tonight. I suggest listening to their myspace tracks if somehow you've never heard of them. Dreamend from Chicago will set the mellow tone for the evening around 9:00pm. I believe there is still space available for $12 at the door.

OH. SHIT. Leslie and the Lys is at Red 7 tonight! That shit is undeniable! Like its straight out of a Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job sketch. Don't believe me? Watch this. Yup, that's what the fuck I'm talkin' about. The show even has those electro spazzes Best Fwends and Christopher the Conquered opening. $10, man, $10.

As always, Karma Lounge has got a massive lineup, fuckin' 18 or so DJs! Not just anyone though. No, MC Flipside is headlining, doing live vocals and mixing on 3 cdjs! Peen favorites Prepmode and Allen Tagle are playing too. If you've been missing Prepmode's electro sets like I have, tonight you're definitely in for a treat. Tickets range from $10 to $20 depending on your age and your time of arrival, but if you want to rave the night away, Karma is where you should be.

The end of an era. Yes, The Always Already are calling it quits after tonights show. Atleast they're going out in style. In dance party style! DJ Mel's packs the dance floor every time he plays. Tonight will be no different, and as many of you know, aint no dance party like a Beauty Bar dance party. However, before The Always Already's farewell set and before DJ Mel drops a single beat, Zorch will be kicking things off.

Tonight is also the album release party of the extremely promising Austin band The White White Lights debut. They'll celebrate with a set at Emo's. Austin is Burning favorite Cowabunga Babes will open for The White White Lights, as will The Happen-Ins. The show costs $7 for 21 and up, $10 for minors, but both prices include a copy of the brand new album.

Probably my favorite weekly dance party. There, I said it. I'm sure by now you know and possibly share my love for Barbarella. Every Saturday they get me on the dance floor singing and dancing along to the indie jams. I'm not sure if its the $2 PBRs, the music and videos, or being around all of my friends, but I'm telling you, shit is magic.

House music. That's exactly what you'll get from L.Boogie, Jamon, and tonight's special guests Sasha Braverman and Henry Chow tonight. Actually, every Saturday at The Kabaret Room inside of Speakeasy. Its always perfect for some dancing, believe.

Music Gym is poppin' tonight at 2am and not stopping until the sun comes up or Hoodie Allen and Marst run out of choones. I'm 99.9% sure it won't be the latter, so be ready to drink too many free drinks and dance with some one you'll regret. $5 at the door, drunk by drunk drunk!

I'm sure by now all of you Peens/Austinites have heard about the hate crime that took place involving the two men who were attacked and beaten because of their sexuality. Well, obviously we're not going to stand for that kind of bullshit hatred here in Austin. So today at 2:00pm, we march! We will all take the same walk taken by the victims on the night of the crime, Oilcan Harry's (211 W. 4th St.) to Austin City Hall (301 W. 2nd St.).

If you know me I'm not so into fashion or shoes (Chuck Taylors for life!). I appreciate, I just don't participate. Anyway, I do, however, realize that Austin is fucking full of sneaker heads. Thus, we have been blessed with a new spot at 2815 Guadalupe St. called Nice Kicks. Today from 11:00am - 7:00pm they're celebrating their grand opening with two very special guests! Uhm....yeah....Bun B of UGK will be in that bitch and just might perform, you'll have to show up and see. Apparently Bun B will be there early on and then DJ Clark Kent will close things out real crunk-like.

Well, it looks like today is another day in which my annoying witty banter will suffer for the sake of SXSW. To the point, maan.
Hurry up! there are only a limited number of Tickets available for tonight's Cool Kids show, and they're only $10!!!

Rebelution, Soja and Zion I are playing at Stubbs tonight. Tickets are $17.

After party for the show above, that means $3 with a ticket stub or whatever, otherwise this show is $5. Sharkweek, DJ JE, and Chango of Austin's biggest dubstep crew Mad Classy are playing with Amplive. Heavy bass.

Huge indie hip hop by P.O.S., Dessa, and Astronautalis tonight at Red 7. Show costs $12.

Idk if you know this, but Tegan and Sara are playing with Steel Train and Holly Miranda at Bass Concert Hall for $22.50, $25.00, or $35.00. Thought you should know.

One of my new favorite Austin bands is celebrating their album release tonight. I highly recommend No Mas Bodas, if you don't know. Eastside show at Cheer Up Charlie's (click the flyer for a map) for $7, but with the $7 cover you get the album, a keg, fuckin' cake, a live set by No Mas Bodas, and a DJ set by Khary Kadaver.

The official launch party of Rhythm Sektion's new website. Rhythm Sektion also happen to be really great DJs, so they'll be spinning all night. Well, when Oh No Oh My, Corto maltese, and Watch Out For Rockets aren't playing! Free T-shirts and a photobooth included with your $10 cover at The Ghost Room.

DJ Crown welcomes special guest DJ King Louie to join him on the decks for tonight's free Barcelona dance party.

I won't forget. Markus (with a K) of Missions is DJing at Red Fez with the Learning Secrets DJs. Its free and the sound is great.

Purchase tickets and help a recent breast cancer survior here. Then starting at 8pm, enjoy a rock show at Chupacabra Cantina.

The best 80's night dance party in town happens every Friday at Barbarella!

Up and coming Austin DJ Chase Marz is once again playing electro, dubstep, and such at The Marq.

All the beer you can drink after, the party starts after last call! $5 donation gets you in to Music Gym.
